[ she wants to question that vague answer, insist for details, more answers, but instead she just takes his words at face value - they all needed rest which mean they were all alive - and decides to move onto answering his questions. ]

Nothing like this exactly, no. I mean, there was... fear gas, a few jumps ago. This toxin got into the air, made people wild, see things that weren't there, believe things that weren't true. It only lasted a few days, though. And I didn't feel anything. A lot of people were sick, but not as many as this. [ her brow furrows ] And people recognized the toxin for what it was, they knew how to handle it. Like it was from their home world. This... obviously wasn't brought on by any of the passengers.

Wait, the maze actually lead to something? More than just wherever they hid the cure?

[ she sits up while she asks, only waiting a short moment before she's scooting closer to she can lean into him with her cheek against his shoulder, and she can't look at him properly like this, but she can reach around his shoulder with her free hand so she can, effectively, half-hug him, while also being careful not to touch where he's bandaged up on that opposite arm. she knows he's tired, that she should let him sleep, but she also has this overwhelming need to be clingy right now and that wins out over common sense any day. ]

More than just monsters. [ a twinge of panic, eyes squeezing shut again ] Wesley told me.

[if Raven sounds thoroughly confused, it's because she absolutely is. Captain Ward would have... said something, if monsters were to blame for the disappearance of their od crew. right? that's not something you can hide forever, and if they were really brought here to help run the ship, risking the chance of losing them all the same way... no. no way. right? ]

I'm really glad you're alright, Charles. [ now that she's worried all over again ] And I'm sorry for being so crazy before you left. It was just nerves... everything.

[ she just hums at his response, not exactly itching to think about the gory bloodbath that she didn't get to see, and might not ever see. were those labs still open to them? or were all those hallways locked again, so they couldn't explore or look into what happened? not that she could really do anything in a science lab, but she knew there were people that could. which raises a few more questions, really, but. no, it could wait. she finally sits up then, leans back so she can look at her brother properly, even if she's squinting a bit. ]

I guess I should let you sleep, huh?

[ she sounds reluctant, but she's also grinning, because yes, she would keep him here as long as he'd have her company. it's not like she can get out of bed just yet. not without help. ]
